17 НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Вересень-Жовтень 2026 ДІЯЛЬНІСТЬ ВІДДІЛІВ І ЧЛЕНКИНЬ • BRANCH & MEMBER NEWS ensuring that their stories are not only seen but felt, re - membered, and celebrated in a way only the theater can make possible. Films are an excellent medium for showing the world Ukrainians’ devotion to freedom, suffering and victories over tyranny, history, culture, traditions, and stories. Es - tablished in the early 20th century, Ukrainian cinema, throughout its long history, has highlighted our struggle for eternal human values. Since Ukraine's independence, a revitalized nation captivates the world with its profound diversity, unique identity, and promise for the future. The festival committee included several UNWLA mem - bers: branch president Natalie Santarsiero, Tetyana Lo - gush, Luba Drahosz, Luba Marino, and Orysia Fisher. It was a pleasure working with David Garonzik of the Paragon Theater in planning and organizing this wonderful event. Opening night on Friday, March 6, began with an infor - mal cocktail reception in the theater lobby, decorated in a Ukrainian motif with blue/yellow balloon column stands and red poppies. Attended by 75 guests, it was a wonderful opportunity to socialize and take photos on the red carpet in front of our banner featuring sponsor logos. Festival Committee (l-r): Orysia Fisher, Tetyana Logush, Luba Marino, Oksana Piaseckyj (UNWLA Culture Chair), Natalie Santarsiero, Luba Drahosz.
