More than 500 books have been printed and a half of them have been sold a l- ready. They will be available for purchase at UECC's Christmas Bazaar, o r you can reserve your copy from Halyna Keller. Elected to the Executive Committee were Ulana Prociuk (President), Tetjana Art y- myshyn - Danyliw (Vice - President), Olha B i- lynsky (Secretary), Olha Jakubowska (Treasu r- er), Petrusia Sawchak (Press), Renya Cehelsky - Ciuk (Archivist), and Olenka Karpinich (Me m- bership). Committee chairpersons are: Marijka Cyhan, Nila Pawluk, and Lida Dychdala (Social Welfare), Chrystyna Prokopovych (Arts and Culture), Nila Pawluk, Lida Dychdala, and T e- renia Zmurkewycz (Nominating Commi ttee), Lesya Stecyna, Larysa Stebly, and Luba Kalyta (Auditing Committee), and Irena Gramiak (Education). Besides showcasing exhibits, the Branch also plans social activities for its members. For example, during the meeting, the members r e- ceived their tic kets to "Motherhood the Mus i- cal," a comedy about the blessings and perils of being a mother, from Marusia Zmurkewycz, who arranged the theater outing to the Society Hill Playhouse in Philadelphia for November. There were also discussions about ha v- ing anot her Ukrainian folk art exhibit next year at UECC. In addition, arrangements have been made at Abington Township Library to have a pysanky exhibit there for the month of March 2013 in conjunction with UECC Cultural Ou t- reach Committee and UHSC at Manor Colle ge. More information about these exhibits will be given at a future date. Iryna Buczkowska congratulated the Branch on its many accomplishments and pa r- ticularly lauded the Press Committee for its coverage. (Of course, if there were no activities, the Pres s Committee would not have had an y- thing to write about.) The 36 - member Branch has grown in number since 2009 when there were 24 me m- bers. If you are interested in joining this vibrant group of ladies, who are dedicated to the pr e- servation and cultivation of Ukrainian folk arts and to sharing them with the American co m- munity, contact any member of the Branch, President Ulana Prociuk (215 - 235 - 3709, email ulana2@ verizon.net ), or Press Chair Petrusia Sawchak (email PSawchak@verizon.net ).
