UKRAINIAN WOMEN OF CHICAGO AT WORK The work of Branch 22, of the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (Soyuz Ukra- inok) of Chicago, 111., is typical of the Ukrainian women’s part in the fight against communist tyr anny. In the past five years these women have sent hundreds of parcels containing food and cloth- mg, to the needy Ukrainians that were forced to flee from their homeland. Because of their hard work, their social affairs brought hundreds of dollars which were contributed to help the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, ’the Ukrainian Congress Committee, the Ameri can Red Cross, and many other worthy causes. Just a few weeks ago, the very active president of this group, Mrs. A. Fedunyak, received a let ter from Rep. Marguerette Church in reply to a letter asking for support of House Resolution 94. Rep. Church wrote, “I hope you will express to them (Soyuz Ukrainok) my own conviction that enslaved .peoples everywhere should be given every encourage ment to seek freedom.” A. Z.
