T o : Regional Council Presidents January 2014 Branch Presidents Liaison for Branches - at - Large Members of the National Board Branch Members and Members - at - Large Dear Presidents and Members: The UNWLA XXX National Convention will be held the weekend of May 23 - 26, 2014 , at the Westchester Marriott, 670 White Plains Rd . , Tarrytown, NY 10591. On behalf of the National Board, we cordially invite all UNWLA members, not only delegates, to join us for an enriching and memorable exp e- rience. Enclosed is the registration packet for both (voting) delegates and (non - voting) members. In a c- cordance with the UNWLA Bylaws, the President or her designated re presentative of each Branch and R e- gional Council is automatically a delegate to the Convention. Also, Branches have the right to send one additional delegate for every 25 members or fraction thereof, based on the Branch’s official membership as of Decembe r 31, 2013. Please note that Branches must be in current good standing with all financial obl i- gations for the last three years ending December 31, 2013, to have voting privileges at the Convention. This includes annual dues and fully paid subscription to Our Life magazine. There is no limit to the nu m- ber of non - voting members who may attend. Branches - at - Large shall have the right to confer one proxy upon a delegate, but no delegate may have more than two votes. The registration cost for delegates is $85 and $50 for non - voting members. This fee will cover all materials including the commemorative XXX Convention Book, participation in the Friday evening reception, all plenary sessions and seminars, as well as the official Convention tote bag. Guests are most welcome for a $25 registration fee (Convention Book and tote bag not included). Registration, hotel lodging and group meals must be reserved and pre - paid through the Convention Registration Committee using the enclosed forms. The entire registratio n packet with full payment is due by March 1, 2014 . Registrations after the deadline will be charged a $25 late fee . Checks are to be made payable to: UNWLA ХХХ Convention Committee .
