НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Червень-Липень 2026 13 Відвідувачі у бібліотеці архіву. During a visit to the Central State Historical Archive in Lviv, I saw how priceless medieval documents are preserved — including a rare 12th century birch bark letter written by a woman. These unique ancient materials reveal the daily life, law, and economic activity of early Ukraine. After surviving the damage inflicted recently by russia’s direct hit of an Iranian drone, the Archive continues its work. However, it is in urgent need of modern equipment, especially a professional scanner, to protect fragile originals and make digital copies available to researchers. Supporting the archive is essential for safeguarding Ukraine’s historical memory.
