Глибоко змістовні, яскраві, художньо оформлені дитячі сторінки Христі Швед несли в собі не тільки пізнавальне значення, але й навчальне, розвивали мислення, есте - тичний і художній смак дітей. НАША О БКЛАДИНКА Про себе Хри стина Кінах Карневале каже , що захоплена українським мистецтвом та укра - їнською культурою загалом. Вихована в українсько м у дусі. Була пластункою. Закінчила St . Joseph ’ s College у місті Вест Гартфорд, штат Коннектику т , де студіювала біолог ію, а також малярство. Викладал а в суботній школі українознавства в Гартфорді . Поза тим, викладала писанкар - ство у багатьох навчальних закладах . Крім писанок, вона розмальовує ще й ялинкові прикраси українськими взорами та сюжетами . Христя одружена і пишає ться своїми дітьми ― Данилом і Дарусею. OUR COVER ARTIST Christine Kinach Carnevale was born and grew up in Connecticut . Her parent s raised her in the Ukrainian spirit. As a youngster , Christine was a member of Plast and spent many a summer at Bob - riwka , in the Plast camp. She majored in biology and minored in art at St. Joseph’s College in West Hartford, CT. The di s- cipline of art continues to bring her joy. Mrs. Carnevale taught at Hartford’s Ukrainian Saturday School. She has also taught the art of pysanky writing in many venues , including high schools and co l- leges. Additionally , she paints Christmas decorations based on Ukrainian themes. Perhaps she will allow us to showcase these in the future issues of Our Life . Christine is married and has two children, Danylo and Darusi a. She lives in Glastonbury, CT, and is a member of UNWLA Branch 106 in Hartford. _________________ ________ Перепрошуємо.
