Jan* Jan* Feb 14 On Jan. 14 at the opening of the new home, Dr. Pelecovich had presented the plan to all the guests and asked then to help the starving Ukrainians by the methods we have presented. Following this announcement, tin boxes were distributed and the following people took the boxes: Mrs. S. Havrylko- -1 Mr s . M. Murashko- -2 Mrs. A. Onyshchuk Mrs. Laluik— 1 M r . P. Kostecky- -1 Mrs. Petrenko— 1 Mrs. Mandozy— 1 Mrs. Bar an— 1 Mrs. Bryn— 1 Mrs. Lektey— 1 Mrs. Kusiv— 1 Mrs. A. Wagner— 1 Mrs • E. Orian— 1 Two boxes were left for the home of the Ukrainian Women’s Learue of America. "Help The Starving Ukrainians in Soviet Russia” is written on each box, with the Ukrainian Women’s League of America’s stamp. The following gifts were donated for the tfaffle. Archipenko has donated a bronze statue, silver plated and set on a marble stand— Value S300. Ukrainian Women*s Learue of America has given a table cloth embroidered in cross stitch. Mrs. Zyblidewicz donated a feather quilt with satin covering. Feat ers were given by Dr. Pelecovich. Mrs. Lysi.uk donated a doll in Ukrainian costume- Mrs. Avramenko donated a wooden jewelry box. 31 A sixth meeting, of the Committee was held Jan. 31. The date of the raffle was decided for May 30. It was decided to print 1,000 books for raffling, each book containing 25 tickets and each ticket to be sold at ten cents. Date of drawing is May 30. It was decided to distribute these tickets for sale among as many Ukrainians as possible in New York City and other cities where there are the Ukrainian V'ornen’s Leagues of America. Up to this time &30 has b e n collected. Five dollars was sent to us by the branch 1Г< of the Ukrainian Women’s League of Anerica and §25 was collected by Dr. Telecovich at a medical meeting. . 14 ^t this meeting books for raffling were distri buted amon'- the Committee members.
