Nov. 13 Report of the Work of The Emergency Relief Corrrvittee The report of the work of The Emergency Relief Согг-ittee was read Feh. 1, at the genera] meeting of the Ukrainian Women's League of America. Lysiuk .Vrs. Zyhlikewi.cz Miss Hrehenecka The members cf the Committee met at the home of Dr. Pelecovich, ' ov. 1П, for a ^-erul discussion and planning of its work. It was decided at tl'at meeting that the work would consist of twe parts: One part of t’ e work would he to send out letters and a memorandum to the President anrt other noted people a^d orjranizetions, ar- well as letters of pleas for help to t'^e Ped Cross of U. S. A. arul Geneva. The second part of our work would consist of collecting money for the starving Ukrainians. I rS iostecky sent out letters and a memorandum to the President and his wife. The memorandum was written hy Mr. Shumeyko. Other letters were sent out with memorandum to tbe Red Cross in U. S. A. and to the Red Cross in Geneva, to all tbe enaters and Repre sentatives of New York State. Informative circulars describing the starvation in Soviet Ukraine v/^re sent to all the branches of the Ukrainian Women’s Learrue of America and these were to be sent out to all Senators and Representatives of the respective states of the branches. Other circulars were sent to al] the news papers of New York State. At tbe s;:me neeting it was voted upon to ask advisory members to join the active committee.
