Since its founding in 1925 it has striven to serve the Ukrainians, the general Ameri can Community and the cause of freedom here and abroad. It has answered every call of the U. It has dissemi nated the ideas of freedom and democracy amona its members, and inasmuch as Ukraine hsa been a captive nation since 1921, the UNWLA has assisted Ukrainians in their efforts to free their nation from totalitarian Communist fetters.
