The following day, on Monday, members gathered at the Domivka for a luncheon hosted by Branch 50 of Ann Arbor. A PowerPoint presenta- tion by President Zajac gave everyone the oppor- tunity to view the behind-the-scenes work of the UNWLA National Board. On Sunday, October 11, 2015, the Ohio Regional Council held its celebration marking the 90th Anniversary of the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America at Pokrova Ukraini- an Greek Catholic Church in Parma, Ohio. Guests entering the festively decorated hall to sounds of bandura music had the oppor- tunity to view a photo presentation of UNWLA members’ accomplishments and also archival ma- terials from each of the Regional Council’s three branches—while enjoying a delicious array of ap- petizers. Mistress of ceremonies, Liliya Luzhanska, President of Branch 130, invited Very Reverend Canon Mykhaylo Drozdovsky, pastor of Pokrova Church, to open the celebration with a prayer. The traditional lighting of three candles followed the UNWLA prayer and the singing of the UN- WLA anthem. Theodozia Krislaty, President of the Ohio Regional Council, welcomed those present and thanked them for their support of the UNWLA over the years. The keynote speaker of the event was Doctor Professor Renata Holod, Board President of the Ukrainian Museum in New York. Through her PowerPoint presentation, those in attendance were introduced to one of the UNWLA’s most val- uable accomplishments—the Ukrainian Museum in New York. Professor Holod stressed the im- portance of maintaining the Museum and its ex- hibits at the highest of levels, so as to keep it competitive with other renowned museums. The artistic program included a perfor- mance by children of the svitlychka that is under the direction of Branch 130.
