LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Dear Editor: In view of the fact that the immigrant experience is a topic largely explored in Ameri can literature classes at the university level, I would like to express my appreciation for DMZ’s contributions to Our Life. They are informative, entertaining and well written. We need more of this kind of testimony of “our lives” in the diaspora. In that respect we trail behind many other ethnic groups. For instance, Italians, Chinese, and African- Americans are much more prolific in leaving a written legacy of their roots and immigrant experiences. DMZ’s initiative merits recognition and encouragement. A collection of her essays in book form would be something to look forward to and would be an invaluable addition to the literature of this genre.
