Even though the XXX UNWLA Convention will not take place until May 23 - 26, 2014 , the Convention Committee has been working very diligently for months to make this important event a worthwhile experience for all participants. A lot of work by many people goes into organizing a successful convention. The Convention Committee has been b usy finding a location, setting an agenda, an entertainment program, panel discussions, forums and finding speakers. Branch 113 and Christine Samilenko, Br. 113 President Recognizing and understanding the economic situation at this time, the Convention Co m- mittee tried very hard to keep costs as low as possible. How much will it cost to attend? The cost for a del egate staying 3 nights including registration will be $625 ( $605 for a non - delegate Soyuz ianka) . Each branch is encouraged to send voting delegates and representatives to the co n- vention and to budget funds accordingly. The main objective of our convention is to inspire, to increase active and informed partic i- pation in our organization, and to provide a forum for the communication of our accomplis h- ments. Come meet passionate women from across the United States who are making a difference in the UN WLA ! Every three years members, supporters, and friends gather at our conventions to encourage one another and exchange ideas vital to the fulfillment of our mission and goals. The convention is an energetic, inspiring affair where networks ar e formed an d plans are made which one individual or branch could never accomplish alone. Those Soyuz i anky who attend the conve n- tion return to their branches spiritually inspired and equipped with information to start new pr o- jects that reflect the ever - changing needs of our Ukrainian community and beyond.
