Ліда – відом ий мистець, викладає мистецтво в Універ с итеті Гюстон та Мирон – лікар офтал ь - молог. Про зятя Михайла та невістку Марту Ти гово рила завжди позитивно і з любов’ ю. А дві внучки? Лариса та Наталя Боднар – це найліп - ші, найкращі дівчатка! А час летів. Ми стали повільніші, згаду - вали давніх друзів, розсм ішували на с споми - ни... І прийшло тридцят е липн я ... Дорога Любчику! Любов, радість, енту - зіязм, щирість і патріотизм промінювали з Тебе. Такою і залишишся в мої х споминах. І не тільки в моїх, – в наших. Хай душа Твоя радіє при Вічній Ватрі, спи спокійно. Ти дочека лася своєї мрії – Незалежної України. Вічна Тобі пам’ ять. Оксана Бризгун - Соколик ____________________________________ Bohdan Pochmu r sky, A Loyal Friend of the UNWLA L - r: L idia Bilous, Bohdan Pochmursky, and Ann - Marie Susla On August 22, 2013, the Ukrainian N a- tional Women’s League of America lost a good friend and staunch supporter, Mr. Bohdan Poch - mursky, who passed away after a brief illness. Born in 1919 in the village of Kutkiw ts i, Ternopil ’ oblast , Mr. Pochmursky was educated in Terno - pil ’ and L’viv before coming to Poland, then Ge r- many after the war , and eventually settling in Michigan. When he retired, he moved to North Port, Florida. Because of the love he had for his mother, Anna Volovych Pochm ursky, and under her infl u- ence, Bohdan developed a great respect for the UNWLA. He was a generous supporter of the work of Soyuz Ukrainok and, through the UNWLA, he established the Bohdan Pochmursky Endowment Fund to benefit underprivileged st u- dents in Ter nopil ’ — the city he loved so much. He seeded this fund with a $20,000 gift and then in 2012 he agai n donated $20,000 to this fund. Our Milena Rudnycky Branch 56 of the UNWLA ho n- ored Mr. Pochmursky for his generosity with a Certificate of Appreciation at our annual Chris t- mas dinner at St. Andrew’s Center ( Oseredok ) on January 9 th of this year. We also presented him with red roses, a birthday cake and a heartfelt Mnohaya Lita for his 94th birthday. On October 1 st, we offered a Divine Liturgy and p anakhyda fo r the repose of his soul on the 40th day of his passing. Throughout his life and wherever circu m- stances found him, Bohdan Pochmursky was a l- ways involved in helping others and had a special love in his heart for the UNWLA. He was a quiet and unassuming man with a big heart and a warm smile. Whenever we met, he would give me that big smile, tip his hat, bow his head , and greet me with “Slava Soyuzu Ukrainok.” He will be greatly missed!
