All the best wishes to our sisters from UNWLA Branch 73, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. They celebrated the 60th anniversary of their Branch!

The celebration began with the UNWLA prayer read by the master of ceremonies Svitlana Berezka, and congratulations from Nadiia Kilchytska, President of Branch 73. Rev. Ivan Mazuryk (pastor of the Protection Of The Blessed Virgin Mary Parish) blessed the festive table with delicious dishes prepared by a team of hardworking soyuzianky led by Bohdana Stanislavska. At the end of the festivities, the President Nadia Kilchytska sincerely thanked all the guests who shared our holiday and the participants of the concert program.

The program included music interludes and certificates to commemorate the anniversary. Yaroslava Kovach and Teklia Ivashkiv, two senior members of the Branch, received certificates to recognize years of service to the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America. A truly family-style celebration, the 60th anniversary of Branch 73 also welcomed guests: Valentyna Tabaka, second VP UNWLA, Kateryna Tanchyn (Head of the New England Regional Council), Ann Salemme (Branch 108 President), Svitlana Levus (Branch 139 President). We join them in wishing Branch 73 many more years of fruitful and inspiring work!

The UNWLA is one of the oldest organizations founded by the Ukrainian immigrant community and has been preserving Ukrainian identity and cultural heritage for decades. It united women working to preserve Ukrainian culture and enhance Ukrainian heritage for future generations.
