The Ukrainian National Women’s League of America is making an urgent appeal to address the unprecedented wave of Covid-19 infections in Ukraine.  We are asking you to assist with a short-term, intensive campaign to raise funds for much-needed oxygen concentrators in Ukraine. The campaign will run from December 7-December 31, 2021.


The Ukrainian National Women’s League of America is making an urgent appeal to address the unprecedented wave of Covid-19 infections in Ukraine. We are asking you to assist with a short-term, intensive campaign to raise funds for much-needed oxygen concentrators in Ukraine.

The UNWLA would be working with Initiative E+, who have served as a partner to many initiatives for organizations such as Children of Chornobyl Fund, Canada Ukraine Foundation and others. Initiative E+, based in Kyiv, will be accountable for financial reporting back to funders. (You can find them on FB at www.facebook.com/helpEplus).

Our goal is to raise $30,000 for twenty oxygen concentrators – the first recipients will be a hospital in Zaporizhia that is treating pregnant women who are critically ill with Covid19. These units will be branded with our logo and highlighted on social media.

The situation in Ukraine is dire: widespread vaccine skepticism fueled by foreign disinformation flowing from Russia has led to one of the lowest vaccination rates in Europe. Assistance is urgently needed now.

Contributions can be made in three ways:

  1. Via check – Please make your check payable to UNWLA (note in memo: “Oxygen for Life”) and send it to UNWLA, 203 Second Ave 5th fl, New York, NY 10003
  2. On our website – use the “DONATE” button. When selecting PayPal or a credit card on our website, please indicate “Oxygen for Life” in the space called “Add special instructions to the seller”
  3. On our Facebook page – Use the “Oxygen for Life” Fundraiser button at the top of our UNWLA Facebook page.

Союз Українок Америки звертається до Вас з закликом невідкладної допомоги щодо подолання небувалої досі в Україні хвилі зараження Ковідом-19. Ми розраховуємо на вашу швидку допомогу в інтенсивній кампанії зі збору коштів на вкрай необхідні в Україні концентратори кисню. Акція триватиме від 7 по 31 грудня 2021 року.

СУА буде співпрацювати із організацією “Ініціатива Е+”, яка була партнером багатьох починань для таких організацій, як Фонд «Дітям Чорнобиля», Канадійський Український Фонд та інші. “Ініціятива Е+”, яка розташована в Києві, буде відповідати за витрати та звітування перед фінансувальниками.
