XXXIІI Конвенція СУА 97 Serving as the Chair of the UNWLA Standing Committee on Arts and The Ukrainian Museum since 2021, I facilitated collaboration between UNWLA members and The Ukrainian Museum in New York City. Members of the Committee held regular virtual meetings to foster engagement and support for The Ukrainian Museum. During my tenure, several significant projects and events were successfully executed: UNWLA Appreciation Day at The Ukrainian Museum This event was an important opportunity for UNWLA New York metro area members to immerse themselves in Ukrainian art and culture. Held at The Ukrainian Museum on April 30, 2023, the appreciation event featured guided tours of the exhibitions “Janet Sobel: Wartime” and “Lesia Khomenko: Image and Presence.” The occasion also included a networking reception, highlighted by addresses from The Ukrainian Museum Director Peter Doroshenko and UNWLA National President Natalie Pawlenko. During an awards ceremony, Branches and individuals were recognized with certificates of appreciation for their steadfast support of The Ukrainian Museum. Participation in The Ukrainian Museum Committees My involvement in The Ukrainian Museum extended to active participation in the Board of Trustees and the Collection Committee. As a member of the Collection Committee, I contributed to strategic planning efforts for collection initiatives and was involved in the reorganization of art storage. Additionally, I served as secretary for the Program Committee. Ukrainian American Artist Directory The Ukrainian American Artist Directory is an online platform that displays the work of 95 professional and hobbyist creators across 32 artistic categories. From development to implementation and launch, I oversaw every stage of the project, collaborating closely with a graphic designer to ensure the directory’s visual appeal. I continue to manage the directory, regularly updating its content to include new artists and maintain its relevance as a comprehensive resource. Articles in Our Life I have contributed articles to Our Life magazine highlighting notable events such as The Ukrainian Museum’s 45th Anniversary celebration, the launch of the Ukrainian American Artist Directory, and the UNWLA Members Appreciation Day at The Ukrainian Museum. These articles have served to amplify the impact of our initiatives and celebrate the vibrant Ukrainian cultural heritage promoted through our collaborative efforts. Serving as the Chair of the UNWLA Standing Committee on the Arts and The Ukrainian Museum from 2021 to 2024 has been a privilege.
