XXXIІI Конвенція СУА 84 Reception; Fundraising; Boutique; and Décor. Each working committee is chaired by a member who belongs to the New Jersey Regional Council. Oksana Konyk was elected to be Convention Chair. A list of the working committees and chairs was included in an article with updates about the Convention published in the May 2024 issue of Our Life . I chaired the initial meeting of the Convention Committee and provided each chair of the working committees with a detailed description of committee responsibilities. To assist the committees, I provided templates from previous conventions. The Convention Committee established a timeline to prepare and manage the Convention. I drafted the fundraising letter that was sent to credit unions for sponsorship. A similar letter with different levels of sponsorship was sent to individuals and corporations. I developed the Convention budget and maintained a database regarding Convention expenses, and reviewed financial reports created by the Convention Treasurer, as well as the registration platform. To help ensure that future UNWLA Conventions benefited from our experience, relevant Convention Committee documents such as contracts, fundraising letters, worksheets, tracking forms, agenda, program information are being stored in a shared UNWLA Google Drive folder accessible to Convention Committee members, Branch Presidents, as well as National Board members. The registration process has been streamlined to include online registration. Along with members of the Registration Committee, researched and reviewed registration platforms before choosing a platform with no fees, thereby saving the UNWLA thousands of dollars. As the liaison between the National Executive and the Convention Committee, regularly met and spoke with working committee chairs and the Convention Chair to consult on topics such as Convention program and agenda, registration, vendors, décor, merchandise, films to screen, and other issues. UNWLA Convention Book Committee Liaison Among my chief responsibilities in 2024 was to be the liaison between the National Executive and the Convention Book Committee. As liaison, at the beginning of the process of preparing the convention book, I provided the Convention Book Committee with necessary documents and developed guidelines to create an information package that explained the procedure to submit reports and greetings. This information packet was sent to Branch and Regional Council Presidents, and members of the National Board. The position of liaison also included overseeing all aspects of the production of the convention book, such as coordinating with the convention book designer as well as with both the English-and Ukrainian-language editors; responding to inquiries about the content of, and payment for, reports; supervising solicitation of greetings and advertisements, including payments; follow up with credit unions regarding sponsorship; Convention Committee members at the Sheraton Hotel.
