XXXIІI Конвенція СУА 83 commemorations in Wales. Besides traveling to Wales, I represented UNWLA in online events on this topic hosted by the National Library of Wales and the Ukrainian Canadian Congress. Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus Concerts To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian poet Lesya Ukrainka, I initiated a partnership with the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus (UBC) for a series of concerts. Due to the COVID pandemic, these concerts were postponed from 2021 to 2022. A series of five concerts were held in various American cities in the spring and fall of 2022. My responsibility was to oversee all aspects of UNWLA involvement that included the promotion of the concert series, both in Ukrainian and American circles with press releases to several local newspapers and posts on social media. An article was submitted to Our Life after the completion of the concert series. A highlight of the concert in New Jersey was the attendance of the great nephew of Lesia Ukrainka. The UNWLA received 50% of the profit from ticket sales of the two East Coast concerts, as well as 50% of the proceeds of a separate UBC benefit concert in early 2022. Electronic reporting Near the end of the previous term, a small team began to develop a method by which annual reports submitted by Branches and Regional Councils in paper format could be converted as submission of annual reports in an electronic format. Early this term, this project was completed. A series of training sessions were held in December 2021 and January of 2022. Leading this overall transition to electronic reporting, I developed the 2021 Annual Financial Report in Excel that was used by Regional Council and Branch Treasurers to submit their reports. I led two training sessions for Regional Council and Branch treasurers on January 29-30, 2022, to review and answer questions about the new report categories. UNWLA XXXIII Convention Liaison and Coordinator My responsibilities as liaison between the National Executive and Convention Committee began with researching previous convention materials, as well as visiting, reviewing, and corresponding with numerous hotels as potential convention sites. The Convention Committee chose to hold the September 2024 convention at the Parsippany Sheraton Hotel. I negotiated the contract on behalf of UNWLA, served as a liaison between UNWLA and the hotel and during several site visits with members of the Convention Committee, final details regarding general planning, meals, specifics of room reservations were resolved. The New Jersey Regional Council graciously agreed to Chair the XXXIII Convention this September and a Convention Committee was established with each Branch in the Regional Council assuming responsibility for certain tasks divided into seven working committees: Convention Book; Program; Registration; Gareth Jones Commemoration event at the Welsh Parliament in Cardiff, Wales.
