XXXIІI Конвенція СУА 68 UNWLA Documentation Storage Because important UNWLA documents were located in various places, including on members’ personal devices and not in any one location, worked with Orysia Soroka to come up with a structure for all UNWLA documents to be located on our UNWLA shared Google Drive folder “UNWLA Documents.” All National Board members, Branch Presidents and archivists can access these documents and upload new ones into this folder. This shared Google Drive folder will serve as an archival repository from which newly elected officers can electronically retrieve records uploaded by previous officers. Representation • Attended the virtual Ukrainian World Congress annual General Membership meeting on October 23, 2021. • Wrote and sent out a letter of greetings from the UNWLA for the UPA Concert Program book on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of UPA. • Attended and greeted the Philadelphia Regional Council Annual Meeting on behalf of the National Executive Committee. • Natalia Pawlenko and I attended a meeting with the rector of UCU, Dr. Taras Dobko, and members of the UCU Foundation to discuss the Women’s Studies program at UCU that UNWLA helps fund and to hear about UCU’s future plans. • Attended a panel discussion organized and sponsored by the UNWLA New Jersey Regional Council and the UN Representation of WFUWO during which the experiences of Ukrainian women subjected to torture and other types of violence after russia’s invasion of Ukraine were presented and discussed. • Represented the UNWLA at an appreciation dinner held at the Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey in Whippany to acknowledge those who provided humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. Local government officials were in attendance. • Attended the February 24, 2024, Support Ukraine Rally in Washington DC. • At the invitation of the Women’s Bandura Ensemble of North America’s (WBENA) attended their open rehearsal on March 17, 2024. • On February 25, 2024, attended a Prayer Service and Town Hall meeting in Allentown, Pennsylvania, organized by UNWLA Branch 91 (Bethlehem). Our Life • In 2021, researched and found a new mailing house (Mail Star) for Our Life magazine, to replace Accelerated Mailing, which could not handle the workload in our required timeframe. • Natalia Pawlenko and I reviewed each issue of Our Life before the magazine went to print. • Conducted research to find a new company that could provide both printing and mailing of Our Life , thereby avoiding the loss of printed issues as they were shipped from our print house in Canada to the mail house in Rochester, New York. Our new service provider that will both print and mail is Johnson Press (Rochester), which specializes in servicing non-profits. UNWLA Branded Materials • Worked with Roksolana Sheverack and Alina Zhurbenko on branding for various UNWLA events to create a consistent UNWLA look and feel when we present ourselves to the public and to convey a consistent message about our mission and our projects. • Worked with an intern who reviewed all Branch and Regional Council Facebook pages and names for compliance and created a report that was shared with Dianna Sawicky for follow-up with Branches. • Purchased branded materials and posters for use by Branches of the New Jersey Regional Council. • Created a UNWLA business card template for anyone wanting a business card. I sent a personalized template to 24 members who requested it. The PDF file can be taken to Staples for printing.
