XXXIІI Конвенція СУА 66 The role of the UNWLA First Vice President is to assume the duties of the President should she be unable to fulfill her responsibilities, to support initiatives of the President and carry out functions assigned by her. Specifically, I was tasked with: • serving as liaison between the National Executive Committee and Standing Committee Chairs; • developing and managing the UNWLA strategic plan; • serving as liaison to the UNWLA Nominating Committee; • overseeing the regular updating and maintenance of the Member Portal, including UNWLA Policies and Procedures and UNWLA Position Descriptions; • serving as a member of the UNWLA Finance Committee; • serving as a member of the UNWLA Bylaws Committee. Liaison to the Standing Committees • Worked with Standing Committee Chairs to create a UNWLA Strategic Plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) document in Ukrainian and English that I presented at the 11/13/21 meeting of the National Board and provided updates at other meetings of the NB. • Led eight monthly Standing Committee meetings that were then converted into one-on-one meetings with individual Standing Committee Chairs to provide more individualized guidance. • Worked with the Social Media Chair and an intern to review all Branch and Regional Council Facebook pages for compliance with Brand Book standards. • Worked with UNWLA Cultural Affairs Standing Committee Chair to publicize two cultural projects: the Batkivska Khata exhibit and Cultural Decolonization. To identify those to be interviewed, reviewed the list of Ukrainian Global Scholars applying for summer internships in culture. • Worked with the Archives Chair to develop a document repository on the UNWLA Google Drive where Branches and Regional Councils can archive their digital documents. • Presented the Standing Committee Chairs’ funding requests at meetings of the National Executive for approval. • Worked with the Standing Committee Chairs on preparing the criteria for hramoty . These criteria were sent to all the Presidents of the Regional Council and Branch for submission from Branches and Regional Councils of individuals who meet the criteria. Liaison to the UNWLA Nominating Committee Convened and chaired the first meeting of the UNWLA Nominating Committee on October 3, 2023. • Reviewed the nominating process and committee rules with members. • Presided over the election of the Nominating Committee President, Vice President, and Secretary. • Authored a letter to the National Board and all Branch Presidents regarding the start of the UNWLA nomination process, calling for members to propose candidates for all positions. I created a form to collect this information. • Attended all nine meetings of the UNWLA Nominating Committee. Bylaws Committee • As a member of the Bylaws Committee, I proposed several changes. All proposed changes were presented at the June 15, 2024 meeting of the National Board and subsequently sent to all convention delegates. NADIA NYNKA UNWLA FIRST VICE PRESIDENT
