XXXIІI Конвенція СУА 54 Although you do not see her often, Natalia Honcharenko as the UNWLA Financial Administrator , keeps the books and our accounts straight. And we can always count on her for expert advice in the realm of non for profits and finances My thanks to our former Communications Coordinator Alina Zhurbenko – the author of the phrase “advocate, educate, cultivate and care*” as well as the term “ vidviddil ” – we would not have managed the communications challenges of 2022-2023 without your sensitive and expert guidance. Optics are (almost) everything and ours were always great. (* “care” added by Nadia Nynka) Although Communications Coordinator Anna Bereznyak has only been with UNWLA for a short time, already the impact of her work and communications, design and or ganizing skills are visible. Thank you to the seven members of the National Executive Committee . This has been an extraordinary three years: a crisis in Ukraine that no one expected to see in their lifetime has caused us to grow and evolve at lightning speed. And I am grateful to each and every one of you for being here during this process, for your thoughtfulness and engagement. I am especially appreciative of Oksana Lodziuk who, in addition to her role as Officer-at-Large, agreed to chair the UNWLA Fundraising Special Committee. Together we undertook the campaigns listed earlier in this report. Olenka Krupa whose legal background served us throughout the years. Valentyna Tabaka, whose unflagging energy, professional experience and contacts in the medical realm, enabled UNWLA to send millions of dollars worth of medical equipment and supplies to Ukraine. Nadia Nynka, who was in every sense of the word, was my “right-hand” – whose wise counsel, patience and good judgment made the organization better. Much of what is in the Member Portal was either authored by, or influenced by, Nadia in one form or another. Finally, I must offer deep thanks to my spouse, Yuri Mischenko, who enabled me to do the work of the past three years. Without his constant support I do not think I could have survived. So, here we are: ready for whatever life brings to us next. Wishing everyone continued strength and inspiration because the road ahead will not be easy and so much is at stake. Our members are the lifeblood of this organization. Without you, the UNWLA does not exist. God bless you. God bless Ukraine. Що керує нами на цьому шляху? На відміну від багатьох організацій, що зосереджені виключно на Україні тут, у США, Союз Українок Америки (СУА) складається з відділів та індивідуальних членів, розкиданих по всій країні. Їхні погляди, досвід та місцеві ініціативи наповнюють кров’ю серце СУА. Їхні зусилля, у поєднанні з інформаційно-просвітницькою роботою комітетів організації та ініціативами на національному рівні, створюють значний позитивний вплив на Україну та українців у всьому світі. У всіх чотирьох напрямах нашої діяльности – адвокація, освіта, культура та суспільна опіка – ми керуємося непохитним прагненням відстоювати інтереси України, інформувати громаду та світ про нашу прекрасну націю, а також сприяти доступу до освіти та української культури в усьому світі. Найголовніше, що СУА дбає про Україну та її народ – і я сподіваюся, що кожна сторінка цього звіту допоможе проілюструвати цей факт.
