XXXIІI Конвенція СУА 259 With immense joy and gratitude, we bring you the latest update from UNWLA Branch 145. Since our re- establishment in July 2023, our journey has been one of passion, dedication, and unwavering support for our mission: Advocate, Educate, Cultivate, and Care. August 2023: We started our journey with a remarkable event, in collaboration with UCCA and Together for Ukraine Foundation to host a flag-raising ceremony of the Ukrainian flag at Binghamton City Hall. The overwhelming support we received from the community and the official proclamations from distinguished leaders, which included Congressman Marc Molinaro, State Senator Lea Webb, Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, County Executive Jason Garnar, and Binghamton Mayor Jared Krahm, was truly heartwarming. September 2023: Our commitment to cultural enrichment led us to sponsor a memorable bus trip to The Ukrainian Museum in New York City. The Maria Prymachenko exhibit left us inspired, and our exploration of “Little Ukraine” was a testament to our deep-rooted connection to our heritage. October 2023: During “spooky season” our Motanka stood watch over a field of sunflowers at the Broome County Scarecrow competition at Otsiningo Park. Even though we did not win, we did receive a great deal of positive feedback from the community and had fun putting the display together .
