НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Грудень 2025 11 A Century of Strength: Inspiring Generations UNWLA Centennial Film Premieres Online The UNWLA proudly marked another milestone in its centennial year with the virtual online premiere of the documentary film A Century of Strength: Inspiring Gener - ations — a powerful tribute to 100 years of Ukrainian wom- en’s leadership, advocacy, and resilience. The film premiered on October 3, 2025, before an audi - ence of members, partners, and friends who have carried forward the mission of this remarkable organization for a century. Through compelling storytelling, rare archival pho - tographs, and insightful interviews, A Century of Strength brings to life the journey of Ukrainian women who built communities, preserved culture, and championed humani - tarian and educational causes across generations. Produced as part of the UNWLA’s 100th Anniversary cel- ebration by My Mary Production (https://mymaryproduc - tion.com/), the film traces the organization’s evolution from its founding in 1925 — when visionary Ukrainian immigrant women united to give voice to their community — to its presence today as the largest and longest-running Ukrainian women’s organization in North America. It illuminates the UNWLA’s leadership during critical moments in Ukrainian and world history, including its advocacy for human rights during the Soviet era, its humanitarian response to crises in Ukraine, and its ongoing support for women, children, and the elderly through numerous charitable programs. The production features commentary from past and cur - rent UNWLA leaders, historians, and community partners, weaving together a century-long narrative of unity and pur - pose. It serves as both a reflection and a call to action — reminding viewers that the strength of one generation con - tinues to inspire the next. Following its premiere, A Century of Strength: Inspiring Generations was made available for online viewing, allow - ing a wider audience to experience this moving chronicle of dedication and impact. The film can be viewed on the UNWLA’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/ unwla. The UNWLA’s story — one of courage, compassion, and commitment — remains a testament to the enduring spirit of Ukrainian women who, for 100 years, have turned pur - pose into progress and legacy into light. Iryna Chalupa (President, Branch 78, Washington, DC) served as the film’s Managing Editor, with UNWLA Presi- dent Natalie Pawlenko and Honorary President Marianna Zajac serving as Producers.
