НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ • Липень-Серпень 2024 27 “Paint, Learn and Sip” Event Hosted by Branch 75 UNWLA Branch 75 hosted a “Paint, Learn and Sip” fundraiser at the Ukrainian-American Cultural Center in Whippany, NJ, on April 7, 2024, to broaden familiarity with the work of Maria Prymachenko, a Ukrainian artist who painted in the “naïve” style and whose work was recently displayed at the Ukrainian Museum. Dr. Natalka Pavlovsky, Professor of Music at Rowan College South Jersey, led an enthusiastic group of almost 60 participants in reproducing indi- vidual interpretations of Prymachenko’s Flowers for Peace . In between the step-by-step painting, Dr. Pav - lovsky gave a presentation on the biography and ar - tistic journey of Maria Prymachenko, who has been receiving well-deserved critical acclaim as a major artistic influence in the early 20th century. Але мистецької наснаги нікому не бракувало. Розмальовування квіткового горщика дало можливість кожній українці не тільки отри- мати естетичну насолоду, але й стати твор - цем нового та прекрасного. Такі проєкти об’єднують українок під гас- лом любові до України. Цю любов до Укра- їни та вдячність ЗСУ кожен з нас носить у серці. А мистецькі проєкти дають змогу такі вдячність і любов відкрити широкому загалу. Цей захід зачарував теплотою, енергією та особливим піднесенням. Союзянки мали можливість поспілкуватись, скуштувати смаколики та виграти призи під час гри в «Бінго». Настрою додавала яскрава квітко- ва фотозона та найкращі українські пісні. Голова 120-го Відділу Наталія Царевич висловила впевненість, що такі заходи ста- нуть доброю традицією, і з кожним разом все більше людей долучатимуться до такої важливої справи — прославлення нень - ки-України та її творчих надбань. Адже світ мусить бачити нас і наше мистецтво, нашу мову, нашу культуру.
