12 WWW.UNWLA.ORG “НАШЕ ЖИТТЯ”, ТРАВЕНЬ 2016 UNWLA Facebook Guidelines for Branches Some recommendations for issues that should be considered as you plan a Facebook page for your UNWLA Branch: 1. A good guide for building a Facebook Page for the UNWLA is “How to Build a Facebook Page for a Non-profit Organization,” which can be found on the Internet at http://boostlikes.com/blog/2015/06/buildfacebookpagenonprofitorganization. 2. Please ensure that the Facebook Header specifically identifies your Branch number. 3. Please make sure that an administrator is assigned for the Facebook page. a. The administrator is responsible for updating the Facebook page. b. The administrator should have an email address identifying her as your Branch Facebook administrator. 4. Please include a link on your Facebook to the UNWLA website (http://unwla.org). 5. Because the UNWLA is non-profit organization, we are limited as to what we can support and thus what we can post on Facebook (e.g., UNWLA cannot directly support ATO but we can support humanitarian aid to the soldiers and their families). 6. Please remember that your Branch Facebook represents the UNWLA and avoid posting your personal or political views and personal photos. Limit photos to official Branch functions, activities, and events. Please be aware of the legal disclaimer which reads: “The National Board of the UNWLA is not responsible for any Facebook account (Individual, Page, or Group) maintained by a UNWLA member or for any inadvertent links to Facebook accounts that are hateful to women’s organiza- tions or any negative advertisements.” Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
