Russian targeted attacks on Ukraine’s critical energy infrastructure plunged cities into darkness and cold in the dead of winter.

Millions of civilians – families, children, the elderly, and the sick – are left to endure brutal freezing temperatures with little protection, limited resources, and no certainty of when warmth will return.

This is not collateral damage; it is a deliberate attempt to break civilian resilience.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the UNWLA has launched Keep Ukraine Warm each winter to support the Ukrainian people through the harsh season.

More than a lifeline of medical and humanitarian aid, this initiative carries Ukrainians – from children to the elderly, from displaced families to survivors of past repression – through yet another brutal winter with strength, dignity, and hope.

Every contribution helps Ukrainian families survive freezing temperatures and remain strong in the face of inhumane aggression.

UNWLA continues to support hospitals across Ukraine, including Mechnikov Hospital in Dnipro – just 60 miles from the front line — where doctors treat some of the most complex civilian and military injuries.

More than 100 women serving on the front lines have already received specialized uniforms and protective gear through our partners in Ukraine. This year, we aim to reach over 200 women with tailored equipment and essential supplies.

Established in 1956 to support women once imprisoned by the Soviet regime, this program now provides financial assistance to more than 200 elderly women across Ukraine.
Our goal for 2026: expand to 400 women served.

Helping children who have lost one or both parents by providing stability, psychological care, and the chance to heal. With your help, we can grow from 300 children to 600 next year.
