Join us for Commemoration of the 90th Anniversary of Holodomor Remembrance Day. The Candlelight Vigil will take place on Sunday, November 19th at 5pm at the Bethlehem City Hall.
As the longest running and largest Ukrainian Women’s organization in the United States, the UNWLA continues to uphold its commitment to educating the community about critical historical events. The Holodomor, also known as the Great Ukrainian Famine, was a man-made genocide in the Soviet Ukraine from 1932 to 1933 that killed around 10 million Ukrainians. Each November, Ukrainians solemnly honor and pay tribute to the millions that suffered and dies during the Holodomor “death by hunger”.
We will be also collecting the food items at the event and distribute them to the local communities that support Ukraine during the war.
