The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, penned a letter addressing the plight of children affected by the war. The letter, directed to the russian president, was delivered during last week’s meeting with the U.S. President.
The UNWLA, with its long history of advocating for the return of Ukrainian children, felt compelled to support the First Lady’s efforts. We expressed our gratitude by sending a letter of thanks to her for speaking on behalf of all children impacted by the hostilities. In our letter, we also highlighted the tragic fate of Ukrainian children abducted by russia and urged the creation of a White House Task Force, co-led by the First Ladies of the United States and Ukraine, to coordinate efforts to secure their return.
