«ЖІНОЧИЙ СВІТ» THE FIRST UKRAINIAN YOUTH’S CONGRESS held at Chicago, Illinois, August 16 and 17,1933. FIRST DAY’S SESSION—AUGUST 16, 1933 The opening session of the First Ukrainian Youth’s Congress was called to order by Miss Anastasia Oleskow, Chairman of the Initiative Committee, August 16, 1933, at 11 о'сіосік A. M., in the North Hall of the Chicago Coliseum, 1513 South Wabash Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, with the pledges of allegiance to the American and Ukrainian flags, by seven-year-old Olga Kolisnyk. Miss Oleskow greeted the delegates and guests with a short welcome address, which was followed by a roll call of the delegates by the Committee's secretary, Miss Mary Kozyra.
