In two years, we will celebrate our 90 th anniversary! Currently, we are a small branch with only 11 members, and only one of whom is younger than the age of 70. Annually, we request a liturgy for our patroness and for members who are deceased. Our branch efforts are directed towards supporting the UNWLA Scholarship Fund and towards supporting seniors in Ukraine through the UNWLA Babusi Fund. We are proud that we have raised well over $100,000 for the Scholarship Fund. Every year, as a thank you, our branch hosts a summer picnic where invited gue sts are those who support our branch endeavors. Besides working to support UNWLA endeavors, our members also are very active in our local Ukrainian community. Members make varenyky that are sold to support our local churches, sing in the women’s choir Mri ya , work at the annual “Varenyky for Peace” fundraising event held at our local Ukrainian Orthodox church, proceeds from which go directly to aid people in Ukraine.
