146 ХХ Х І I Конвенція СУА I worked with the representative from the National Library of Wales, Rhian James, Prof. Luciuk as a designated representative from the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and UNWLA President Marianna Zajac to create a Memorandum of Understanding outlining the work to be done in digitizing the diaries, the timeline, distribution and UNWLA recognition as the primary sponsor of the project. Authored an article on the initiative printed in the No vember 2020 issue of Our Life magazine. At the Ukrainian Institute of America, in 2018, a plaque in honor of Dr. Raphael Lemkin was unveiled . Dr. Lemkin ’s research was critical to the establishment of the1949 UN Genocide Convention. In a speech he pres ented in New York City on September 20, 1953, he brought attention to the Holo domor as genocid e, the first time this was done at an international forum. Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus Initiative: Initiated a partnership with the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus for a series of concerts com memorating the 150th anniversary of Lesia Ukrainka’s birth in 2021. As the UNWLA representative for the project, I worked with UBC President Anatoli Murha to determine the exact level of commitment needed from the UNWLA, and to schedule the dates, concert venues, narrator, and other details of the project. An article explaining the collaboration appeared in the October 2020 issue of Our Life magazine. 2021 Convention Nominating Committee Chair In my role as New Jersey Regional Council President, I chair the Nominating Committee for the election of the National Board at the 2021 UNWLA Convention. Committee membership includes all Regional Council pr esidents, the Branches - at - Large and Members - at - Large liaisons, as well as 1st Vice Pre sident representing the UNWLA Executive Committee. From May 2019, chaired 15 meetings of the Nominating Committee, to determine and discuss prospective candidates. I co ntacted all candidates via email and phone calls, sent appropriate job descriptions to ensure each candidate has a clear understanding of the position she will be assuming on the National Board and responded to questions and information requests from prosp ective nominees. I also sent letters requesting biographies from each nominee. The final slate will be presented to the National Board and to all delegates one month prior to the convention. Annual Reports and Forms Committee I am a member of the committe e that is reviewing and revising annual reporting forms that are completed annually by branch and Regional Council presidents. Members of the committee include UNWLA 3rd Vice President for Public Relations Nadia Nynka, UNWLA Officer - at - Large and Arts and M useum Chair Natalia Pawlenko, UNWLA Social Media Chair and New Jersey Regional Council President Oksana Lodziuk Krywulych, and New Jersey Regional Council Vice President and Branch 98 President Nadia Jaworiw. Other Prepared PowerPoint presentations for UNWLA President Marianna Zajac to be delivered at the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations, (СФУЖО) annual conferences held in Ukraine in 2019 and virtually in 2020.
