ХХ Х II Конвенція СУА 145 A Members Only portal gives our members immediate access to the most current documentation needed to complete their work. The private portal contains UNWLA Bylaws, job descriptions for members elected to th e National Board, as well as to Regional Councils and branch leadership positions. Policies and Procedures, general guidelines, the UNWLA hymn and prayer, and organization chart are also included. An online form for submitting annual reporting forms from b ranch and Regional Council presidents will be added. Online reporting will eliminate the need to send documents via mail, reducing work for our office staff, as well as reducing costs. A Membership Map that lists all the branches, and is easily searchable by state. A re - designed member application and member - at - large application. Notifications of membership inquiries are emailed directly to the 2nd Vice President for Membership for general members and to the Members - at - Large Liaison. Online registration and payment of dues for members - at - large is also available on the website. Searchable issues of Our Life and UNWLA Convention books. Direct feed from the UNWLA Facebook page. All posts to the Facebook page automatically appear in a small window on the UNWLA w ebsite. Established a unique email for every position of the National Board. This effort ensures that contact information for UNWLA National Board members will remain unchanged with the election of new officers. Via individual Zoom sessions, trained the U NWLA Executive Committee, Chairs of UNWLA Standing Committees and Regional Council Presidents on the set up and use of their unique emails. To help generate revenue for UNWLA, added an Amazon Smile link. UNWLA logo was added to the website, as well as num erous aesthetic improvements. On an as - needed basis, held website committee meetings. Functioned as liaison with UNWLA Home Office regarding website. Continue to work with the website designer on a consistent basis to implement new improvements and sugge stions. Wrote articles about the new website for Our Life magazine. Members of the committee that developed the new website included Marianna Zajac, Lydia Jachnycky, Christine Boyko, Nadia Nynka, Iryna Buczkowski, Ivanka Olesnycky, Natalie Pawlenko and O ksana Lodziuk (Project Manager). YouTube and Instagram: youtube.com/unwla Besides the redesign of the website, I worked with our website designer to create a dedicated YouTube channel for UNWLA in advance of our 95th Anniversary Gala. The anniversary celebration was streamed live on our YouTube channel with over 1,000 views of the event. Also, created a UNWLA Instagram page. After Facebook, YouTube, Instagram was our third social media account. Special Projects and Initiatives Gareth Jones Initiative: In 2018, I attended the unveiling of the Raphael Lemkin Plaque with 3rd Vice President Nadia Nynka and Branch 75 member Karen Chelak at the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York City. At this event, we met with Lubomyr Luciuk, a professor at the Royal Military College of Canada. Prof. Luciuk brought up the idea of digitizing the Gareth Jones diaries to a select group of individuals. Gareth Jones was the Welsh journalist who traveled to Ukraine during the Holodomor. As an eyewit ness to the Great Famine, he kept meticulous diaries of the mass starvation. My continued communications with Prof. Luciuk encouraged me to put forth a proposal in late 2019 for digitization of Gareth Jones’ diaries to ensure they are made available to the public through distribution at various renowned institutions. The proposal was approved unanimously by the UNWLA Executive Committee. The UNWLA’s significant contribution of $28,000 to the digitizing efforts ensured that we were the primary sponsors of th e project. The National Library of Wales is to complete the digitization.
