ХХ Х II Конвенція СУА 143 During these Facebook campaigns, I posted updates and final totals of donations, tracked donations, wrote Facebook posts thanking donor s. In addition, I posted photos received from the beneficiaries of our goodwill, and comments about the difference made in their lives by our donations. In 2019, UNWLA paid for the transport to Ukraine of a 40 - foot container of medical supplies designated for Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Lviv, and the Pediatric Hospital in Zhytomyr . UNWLA partnered with Support Hospitals in Ukraine, Project C.U.R.E, and MEEST to ens ure the transport of more that $ 400,000 worth of medical equipment. UNWLA 95th Anniversary Gala As a member of the Gala Planning Committee, I was involved in the public relations and general planning of the event, creating several posts daily that hig hlighted the gala, the performers, and extending invitations to the public. I sent updates to New Jersey branches, posted updates on the website. Posted highlights of the gala in separate video clips for one month after the gala. An element of the celebrat ion included a slideshow I created for the New Jersey Regional Council that highlighted the humanitarian, community outreach, cultural and educational work of the New Jersey branches. General Facebook Responsibilities Possessing a good understanding of UNWLA Social Welfare Committee projects, as well as UNWLA cultural and educational initiatives, I was able either to respond directly to requests submitted through the Messenger function on the UNWLA Facebook page for hum anitarian aid, research assistance, project support, membership matters, or forward such inquiries to the responsible committee chair. Created Facebook posts, including photos, of UNWLA activities and humanitarian aid efforts. These included our social we lfare initiatives, support of cultural and educational programs both in Ukraine and in the United States. This responsibility required consistent interaction with the chair of Social Welfare Committee, Chair, UNWLA President, UNWLA Vice Presidents, other m embers in order to post current information about UNWLA initiatives. Attended various UNWLA events, to take photos to post to social media and maintained a digital photo archive of UNWLA and partner activity. Photos were used by several members of the Exe cutive Committee in their presentations, as well as in Our Life and in newspaper articles. For documentation of UNWLA projects, downloaded photos from Facebook. Created event posts for UNWLA - sponsored activities, such as the UNWLA 95th Anniversary Gala, UNWLA National Convention, others. Maintained relationships and followed UNWLA partner pages to post to social media. Examples of online partners: Dobro, Ukrainian Catholic University, Volyn Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Academy, The Ukr ainian Museum, Ukrainian Institute of America, World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations, as well as Mariya Furtak, our UNWLA representative in Ukraine. Translated Ukrainian posts into English to provide bilingual version. Posted non - UNWLA commun ity events of interest, such as film screenings, festivals, and lectures.
