ХХ Х II Конвенція СУА 135 rescued or evacuated by emergency services. Homes, bridges, and roads were washed away, power lines and dams were destroyed. UNWLA presented the situation to its members and asked the community for help. Donations totaling $25,000 were collected. The aid was given to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, which already had a reliable distribution process in Ukraine. The Flood Report is available for review. ____________________________________ Celebrating with new friends from Australia after the WFUWO convention Besides working with UNWLA projects, I contributed several articles to Our Life and The Ukrainian Weekly : “A Visit to Ukraine,” Our Life, December 2018 “A Visit to Severodonetsk with UNWLA Aid Mission,” The Ukrainian Weekly , June 23, 2019 “Babusi Fund: Some Information and a Query,” Our Life , April 2020 “Feeding America,” Our Life , September 2020 I also participated in writing various guidelines suc h as a job description for the position of Social Welfare chair, Social Welfare Guidelines, and a new Project Proposal Form. I attended National Board meetings, meetings with other committee chairs and the Executive Committee, as well as branch and occasio nal Regional Council activities. I am, also, an active member of Branch 75. I thank our esteemed UNWLA members who often worked with me: Liusia Buniak, Oksana Lodziuk Krywul y ch, Paranka Mazurek, Nadia Nynka, Ivanka Olesnycky, Natalia Pawlenko, Ruta Ripecky , and Valentyna Tabaka. Their ideas, enthusiasm, follow - up and problem - solving were greatly appreciated. I thank UNWLA president, Marianna Zajac, for her insights, support, and interest in all things related to Social Welfare and introducing me to her netw ork of leaders. I thank Mariyka Furtak for her follow - up and confirmation of situations that needed UNWLA support. And thank you to ALL MEMBERS of UNWLA, for with them, all efforts flourish and continue to evolve.
