ХХ Х II Конвенція СУА 115 The New England Regional Council was established in 1972. The current council president is Kateryna Tanchyn. There are four br anches: 73, 106, 108 and 139 established in Jan. 2017 . The New York Central Regional Council was established in 1974. The council president was Alisa Serdyuk. There are four branches: 34, 62, 95, 99. Branches - at - Large were divided into two groups in January of 2016. There are two Co - Liaisons for each group. The names for these two groups, unofficially , are BAL East and BAL West. There are 16 BALs. The BAL East Co - Liai son is Olya Czerkas. There are seven b ranches: 17 - Miami FL, 27 - Pittsburgh PA, 120 - Rochester NY, 56 - North Port FL, 68 - Syracuse NY, 78 - Washington DC, 97 - Buffalo NY, The BAL West Co - Liaison i s also Olya Czerkas. There are nine b ranches: 3- Phoenix AZ, 14 - Atlanta GA, 38 - Denver CO, 49 - Buffalo , NY, 107 - San Jose CA, 111 - Los Angeles CA, 118 - Houston TX, 124 - St. Petersburg FL, 136 - Naples FL. The Northern New York Regional Council was dissolved years ago and the two remaining branches were designated to BAL East. The current Members - at - Large Liaison is Ivanka Olesnycky . There are more than 100 members located throughout the United States. Some b ranches were dissolved: 13- Philadelphia, 22- Chicago, 46- Rochester, 58 - Detroit. M embers of these branches have either joined other branches in the ir vicinities or joined Members - at - Large. D ealing with membership affairs is not just about the statistics , but also about our members, the wonderful dedicated hardworking women of this volunteer organization. With every phone call and visit, I have had the pleasure of dealing with members, which has been enriching and fulfil ling . Each time I felt like I have made a wonderful new friend. I can only help tha t I was able to help. All of our members should be recognized for the selfless dedication, passion, and commitment given to make our organization greater and better than before. And , as always, smile, think positive and be kind. As Dr. W. Mayo wrote, “No one is big enough to be independent of others.” In these difficult times, we have seen how strong we really are. Together we can help UNWLA grow and spread our wings even more. .
