102 ХХ Х І I Конвенція СУА Executive Committee and has led steering committees for conferences on the Holodomor. Nadia is always professional, effective, factual. Vera Kushnir – Financial Secretary – in her position, Vera prepared UNWLA annual budgets and sent annual reminders to our branches about the required branch filings. She organized the logistics for our in - person National Board meetings, and since 2005, Vera has been t he liaison between the UNWLA Executive Committee and the Regional Council that was hosting a convention. This year, s he navigated this virtual convention in completely unchartered waters! Iryna Buczkowski – Secretary – i n this combined role of recording a nd corresponding secretary, Iryna has taken meeting minutes for both the Executive Committee and the National Board since the 2017 Convention. We are very confident and grateful in the knowledge that we have a dependable recording secretary who retains her good nature and sense of humor while performing this extremely necessary although at times tedious task. Valentyna Tabaka – Officer - at - Large – Valentyna is always willing to use her excellent organizational and planning skills for UNWLA projects. Her peop le skills are excellent and she has been able to attract young women to UNWLA and form new branches in several states. Her extensive talents have been of great benefit to UNWLA. Natalia Pawlenko – Officer - at - Large – Natalia joined the UNWLA Executive Commi ttee with a broad set of professional skills and much enthusiasm. These have been used most effectively t o both initiate and complete successful projects, such as Museum Appreciation Day and the creation of a UNWLA Ukrainian American Artist Directory. Nata lia’s demeanor is always calm even under heightened stress , a valuable trait when taking on challenging projects. Oksana Xenos – Parliamentarian – Oksana has been UNWLA Parliamentarian for many years. She always made herself available notwithstanding her b usy schedule as an Administrative Law Judge (now retired) in Detroit to answer questions on concerning UNWLA Bylaws, as well as IRS not - for - profit organizational guidelines and rulings. T o help UNWLA members understand the responsibilities and obligations of our status as a 501(c) 3 organizatio n, she authored a series of articles published in Our Life in 2017. I encourage everyone to read all reports in this commemorative convention book – th e reports of our extremely hard - working chairs of UNWLA Standing C ommittees, the Our Life editors, Auditing Committee Chair , of our branches . Reading these reports provides a fuller understanding and a deeper appreciation of the remarkable effectiveness of UNWLA efforts and accomplishments. These numerous efforts and acc omplishments are reflected in the dedication of individual members, up through our branches, into our Regional Councils, Executive Committee, and National Board. These efforts and accomplishments compose our joint success! I have both the honor and the privilege to thank everyone for their commitment and dedication, for your friendship and support!
