The guidelines in the Brand Book are to be followed whenever any type of communicatio n materials are produced for UNWLA internal or external use. Such materials would include invitations, posters, letters, program booklets, newsletters, publications, reports, and posts on social media. A consistently professional appearance, especially wit h the ease of available technology, is important for our organization, both for our image, as well as to become relevant to younger generations that expect such professionalism. Online Presence UNWLA Social Media Chair Oksana Lodziuk has been working with the UNWLA website developer with the end goal that a first - time visitor to UNWLA ’s website should be able to have an accurate understanding of the nature of UNWLA within ten minutes of entering the site. A members - only portal is being finalized through whi ch relevant information, such as the documents mentioned earlier, c an be easily accessed. The Social Media Chair has also been responsible for developing and posting to our Facebook page, increasing our followers, and has established and begun posting to a n Instagram account. UNWLA Office Office Administrator Olha Stasiuk is the backbone of managing our organization’s information and statistics, of coordinating organizational communications and the gathering of report information. All t hese element s are cri tical in order for members of the Executive Committee to understand the status of the organization at any moment in point and provide a basis for decision - making. Thank you, Oliu! Another indispensable force in our administration is Financial Administrator Natalia Honcharenko. Natalia runs the day - to - day finances in our office and deals professionally and in a timely fashion with our auditors, Nisivoccia CPA firm. We can always feel confident that our financial payment and reporting matters are in the best of hands. Thank you, Nataliu! Meetings of UNWLA Executive Committee Since the majority of our Executive Committee members do not live in the New York City metro area, in - person meetings were impractical. Most of our meetings were held either by conference call or during 2020, the year of the COVID pandemic, we adapted to n ew systems and used WebEx or Zoom. This online method of meeting proved to be extremely effective and efficient. During each meeting, updates on the previous month’s administrative and organizational issues were shared, each member gave her report, votes w ere taken about decisions regarding ongoing projects, and progress reports on projects were presented. The following meetings were held: 2017 – 4 meetings , beginning with June 2017; 2018 – 9 meetings; 2019 – 11 meetings; 2020 - 10 meetings . Meetings of UNWLA National Board (September 8 - 10, 2017) - Soyuzivka Heritage Center, Kerhonkson , New York. At this, the first meeting of the National Board after the XXXI Convention, the agenda was full and included many very important topics: membership, planning the path for future UNWLA projects; optimum division of resources, both volunteer hours and financ ial resources, between Ukraine and the United States; cultivating members to take on leadership roles; Federal, state and liability insurance regulations that make running our svitlychky extremely difficult. Newly elected Board members were encouraged to o ffer their perspectives and ideas and left with an understanding of UNWLA teamwork.
