ХХ Х II Конвенція СУА 99 (November 5, 2017) I m et with Acting Minister of Health Ulana Suprun , MD and Consul Denys Semenovych from the Consulate General of Ukraine in New York City at the St. Regis Hotel duri ng the annual fundraising event for Ukrainian Catholic University. (March 1, 2018) I a ttended the annual International Mother Language Day event organized by the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations, an observance organized in conjunction wi th the anniversary of Ukraine’s 1917 - 19 18 Declaration s of Sovereignty and Independence. (March 12 - 23, 2018) I p articipated in the 62nd Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, one of the United Nation’s largest annual events and th e largest on the issue pertinent to women. On March 23, the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN organized in conjunction with WFUWO, a session titled Empowerment of Rural Women and Girls in Ukraine . Event moderator was Ambassador Melanne Verveer, who is of Ukrainian descent and who, in 2009, President Obama appointed as the first U.S. Ambassador for Global Women’s issues. Earlier in the week, UNWLA hosted an informal luncheon to welcome guests from Ukraine participating in the panel and attending CSW. (September 23, 2019) Ukrainian American community leaders from the New York City m etro a rea were invited to a closed meeting with newly elected President and First Lady of Ukraine, Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky. This special event was h eld at the Ukrainian Institute of America . (October 18, 2019) Ukrainian Institute of America and the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America co - sponsored a meeting with His Beatitude Epiphanius , Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine during his inaugural visit to the United States. UNWLA’s two offi cers at large, Valentyna Tabaka and Natalia Pawlenko and I were able to have an informal meeting with His Beatitude, who was aware of UNWLA assistance to the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy, for which he expressed his gratitude. . Administration and Ma nagement of UNWLA Organization Documents During this term, members of the UNWLA Executive Committee have been tirelessly developing and working on procedures and guidelines for all levels of the organization. They have recruited members with “boots on the ground” experience, who can explain what information may be missing, what information would be helpful to include in these documents. The goal is to have information and answers to procedural questions, reporting questions, specific position responsibilities, readily available for use by the pres idents of our Regional Councils, branch presidents, and members. Position descriptions, a Policies and Procedures Manual, revised reporting forms will be available to all members, with translations into Ukrainian to be available soon. UNWLA Brand Book Wit hout a style guide, over the years, strong inconsistencies appeared in the use and design of the UNWLA logo, and other graphic representations connected to UNWLA. The UNWLA Brand Book was developed, finalized and has been sent through email to our branch a nd Regional Council presidents. The consistent use of our logo and identity is extremely important to ensure that our communications reflect
