I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our President, Marianna Zajac, for her exemplary leader- ship and mentoring, and for the professional manner in which she leads our great organization. She is our driving force. My thanks to all the ladies on the Executive Board for their hard work and dedication. To the people I worked with, my thanks go out to Marta Burachok for all her help and sugges- tions. Thanks to all the Regional Councils that are the crucial link between the branches and the Executive Board. Thank you to the BAL Co-Liaisons with whom I worked. Orysia nominated me for this position and believed in me. She mentored me, lifted my spirits when I was down. Olya – always positive and en- dearing. She was eager to learn more about the UNWLA, ready with great ideas, and a great problem solver. I would like to thank my predecessor, Anna Macielinski, for sharing her incredibly detailed files. Most important, I want to thank each of you – all the members of the UNWLA. Where would we be without your friendship, dedication, devotion, and love for all that is Ukrainian? A volunteer isn’t paid not because she is worthless – but because she is priceless! You are all priceless to me, and I’m honored to be included in this circle of friends. Members of Branch 137 with the President of the New Jersey Regional Council, Ksenia Rakowska.
