236 ХХХI Конвенція СУА Olya Olinyck, 2015 Representative of the Ukrainian Delegation to Miss Festival of Nations In 1976, Branch 99 started a nursery school (Sadochok) for children aged 3 to 5, with an average of 10 children attending. It has seen two generations from the same families come through its doors. For the past few years, our teachers Kateryna Ponomarova and Stepha- nia Karpishka did an outstanding job. For a variety of reasons, in Sep- tember 2016 we passed the reins of the Sadochok over to the Saturday School of Ukrainian Studies in Watervliet, New York. We have welcomed one new member, Kateryna Ponomarova, and anticipate adding a few more to our sisterhood of 28. On a sad note, over the past three years we bid farewell to five members: Theodosia Kushnir, Feuronia Koshykar, Julianne Shepelavy, Lubomyra Mokey, and Julia Wancko. We thank these women for be- ing wonderful members and for teaching us everything they did. They may be gone, but they will never be forgotten.
