ХХХI Конвенція СУА 177 Introduced Pat Zalisko, a third-generation UNWLA member (her daughter is a fourth-generation member), an artist and member of Branch 56, to the Board of The Ukrainian Museum. Ms. Zalisko was invited to submit her work for the October 2015 – February 2016 exhibition The Ukrainian Dias- pora: Women Artists, 1908–2015 , at The Ukrainian Museum in New York City. With Pat Zalisko ... Pat’s painting Korcula 7-16 , 61" x 95", part of Syzygy series Attended The Ukrainian Museum’s 40 th Anniversary celebration on April 17, 2016, in New York; wrote an article about the commemoration, presented and shared with all BAL East. As secretary of the National Board Nominating Committee for the 2017 Convention, collected and provided to Ksenia Rakowsky, Chair, all prior Convention Nominating Committee documents. De- signed a spreadsheet of posts, past post holders, nominees for posts, and comments; prepared agendas for teleconferences; and forwarded Minutes to each NC member. To review the commitment of our leaders/members to the UNWLA, created a self-evaluation ques- tionnaire with Ksenia Rakowska for our 2016 Annual Board Meeting. The questionnaire stimulated discussions at the Meeting and a review of members’ commitment to our organization. Forwarded to all BAL. Reviewed a draft of the proposed new Bylaws and forwarded a list of significant additions and chang- es to the Bylaws Committee. Member of Committee to update the original Requirements list for Eligibility and Responsibilities of Co-Liaisons, for election of Liaisons during the XXXI Convention. Chaired 10 BAL teleconferences discussing various projects, ideas, and concerns; reviewed the nomi- nating procedure for BAL Co-Liaison and Committee; and facilitated the election of the BAL Nomi- nating Committee. Traveled to Ukraine. Met with Natalia Klymovska, Vice Rector of Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) Development and Communication; Olha Zarichynska, Director of UCU’s Development De- partment; and Rev. Stepan Sus, Dean of the Sts. Peter & Paul Garrison Church in Lviv and Chaplain of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Discussed the pending opening at UCU of the Mental Health Institute (UNWLA made the initial donation of $100,000). Wrote an article about the meetings and the poten- tial impact of the Mental Health Institute on Ukrainian soldiers, their families, and the entire country. Wrote the following articles for Our Life : 2014 – “Useful Information for the Tax Season” & “Medicare and You” 2015 – “A First for Branches-at-Large: Presidents Connect via Teleconference” 2016 – “Women & Alzheimer’s” & “Institute at UCU: Impact and Impressions” Thank you for your confidence; I appreciate the opportunity and the privilege to work with so many won- derful UNWLA members.
