168 ХХХI Конвенція СУА BRANCHES-AT-LARGE OLYA N. CZERKAS CO-LIAISON, BRANCHES-AT-LARGE A Co-Liaison position for Branches-at-Large (BAL) was added at the 2014 convention. Because of the many branches in Branches-at-Large, two BAL groups were formed: East Coast and West Coast. I have had the great privi- lege of working with the West Coast BAL over the past three years. This report covers the West Coast Branches-at-Large. They have perpetuated the love of our Ukrainian heritage in unique and creative ways. Their dedication to humani- tarian causes is evident as they continue to support our brethren in Ukraine and the United States. Educat- ing our children and others about Ukraine, our culture, art, and traditions continues to be an important part of every branch activity. Members of BAL have worked very diligently and with sincere commitment to the UNWLA and its goals. Over the years, our branches have continued to strengthen the communities that support them, raise money to help others, and educate to perpetuate the love of our country. Responsibilities of the Branches-at-Large Co-Liaison A BAL Co-Liaison has many responsibilities. Over these past three years, I have tried to fulfill these responsibilities and obligations to the best of my ability. The responsibilities of a Co-Liaison include attending meetings, supporting and assisting branch- es, helping branches with annual reports, maintaining BAL informed, forwarding information to BAL from National Headquarters, establishing and maintaining open communication between members of the BAL and the executive committee, and holding teleconferences with BAL on a quarterly basis.
