I tried to initiate quarterly reporting from the Branch Social Welfare Chairs. It worked well (with some reminders) for one quarter for most branches. My thanks and compliments to the Detroit Regional Coun- cil branches and President Vera Andrushkiw. Her branches send quarterly reports to this time. The mem- bers of the branches and Regional Councils are very generous with their time and finances in helping war victims. Many branches co-operate, work, and donate through local organizations. The funds that have gone through organizations like Save Ukraine Now, Zudak, Meest, Ukrainian American Civic Communi- ty in Detroit, DCtoHC, Bishop Daniel of the Orthodox Church, and Ukrainian Federation of America are included in this report. Since the Welfare reports for the year 2016 were not received by the due date for this report, the report is based on information received from UNWLA members who visited Ukraine and from our repre- sentative in Ukraine.
