106 ХХХІ Конвенція СУА July 14, 2015 – working breakfast with the Ambassador of Lithuania to the United States, His Excellency Mr. Ž ygimantas Pavilionis, at the Ukrainian Institute of America. September 29, 2015 – with UNWLA President Marianna Zajac, attended an “Informal High- Level Roundtable – Future of Eastern Europe: Empowerment of Women,” hosted by H.E. Lithu- anian President Dalia Grybauskaite at the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in NY. Included was a letter from Nadiya Savchenko read by her sister Vira Savchenko. March 30, 2016 – with UNWLA President Marianna Zajac, in Washington, DC, at a keynote ad- dress by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. Earlier we attended roundtable discussions spon- sored by the US–Ukraine Foundation. The UNWLA was one of the sponsors of this event. April 17, 2016 – The Ukrainian Museum’s 40 th Anniversary fundraising luncheon at Tavern on the Green in NYC. Represented the UNWLA on the UM 40 th Anniversary Committee. April 26, 2016 – with UNWLA President Marianna Zajac and other UNWLA members, attended the opening by Ambassador Yelchenko of the Chernobyl 30 th Anniversary Exhibit at the United Nations. Also attended the 25 th International Conference on Health and Environment hosted by World Information Transfer (run by Dr. Christine Durbak, Founder and Conference Chair). Morning session: Chernobyl and Nuclear Energy; afternoon session: Toxic Contamination of Children. May 15, 2016 – attended the Ukrainian Catholic University fundraiser at The Manor in West Or- ange, NJ, in addition to serving on the organizing committee for this event. The UNWLA was honored for its support of UCU, especially for our donation of $100,000 to start its Mental Health Clinic. September 17, 2016 – with UNWLA President Marianna Zajac, attended the Ukrainian Symposi- um in honor of Ukraine’s 25 th anniversary at the Princeton Club organized by the UCCA and Prof. Zaritsky of Columbia University. November 17, 2016 – Ukrainian Business and Professionals meeting held at the UACCNJ in Whippany, NJ. This is a new organization that encompasses many professions and welcomes eve- ryone of Ukrainian descent. They are based in Clifton/Passaic, NJ, and include the NYC area. December 13, 2016 – closed talks with Senator Menendez’s Washington Bureau Foreign Rela- tions aide Sara Aitkin and Senior Advisor Zachary Rynar in Senator Menendez’s Newark, NJ, headquarters, organized by the UNA’s Treasurer Roma Lisovich and Secretary Yurij Symchyk. UNWLA PR to the Public July 11, 2015 – information table about the UNWLA at the Soyuzivka Festival. July 9, 2016 – UNWLA booth at the Soyuzivka Festival, with information, the new UNWLA trifolds, and a Hutsul family photo booth. September 18, 2016 – took turns with UNWLA President Marianna Zajac manning the UN- WLA/UM/UIA (Ukrainian Institute of America) booth #441 at the 92 nd Street Festival on Lexing- ton Ave in NYC, at the invitation of the UIA. Great exposure for the UM. Represented UNWLA President Marianna Zajac November 2, 2014 – NJ Region Den Soyuzianky Fashion Show; welcomed everyone on UN- WLA President’s behalf. November 24, 2014; December 2, 2014 – “ad hoc committee of Ukrainian organizations” confer- ence calls. December 3, 2014 – teleconference with VP Joe Biden, who commented on his meetings and dis- cussions with Ukrainian leaders. January 24, 2016 – spoke at the NJ Region Art Exhibit opening of Young Ukrainian Artists de- picting Maidan and the War, held at the UACCNJ. March 11, 2016 – conference call with www.SanctuaryforFamilies.org, a NYC social service agency that provides gender-based violated women clinical and legal help, as well as counseling. October 25, 2016 – represented UNWLA President Marianna Zajac and spoke as an invited pan- elist at the US–Ukraine Forum entitled “Initiating Dialogue with the Next President of the US” at
