ХХ Х Конвенція СУА 91 Branch 120, Rochester , NY . Br anch 17 , Miami, Fl. The challenge to retain current members and assist inactive branches was addressed. Whenever possible, intervention efforts to reorganize faltering branches were pl anned together with the president of the branch and regional council, or the Liasion for Branches - at - Large. Congratulations to these four reorganized Branches that not only prevailed, but increased membership! What they all had in common was the emergence of leadership and the passion of a select few to continue the work of their predecessors. Branch 126, Boston, Massachusetts (November 2011) Alla Cherchenko , President 11 new members The new president, a 4th wave immigrant, originally joined UNWLA online as a Member - at - Large after finding our internet website. At the request of the Branch, the UNWLA Executive Committee, at its meeting on December 17, 2011, approved a transfer from the New England Regional Council to Branches - at - Large. Branch 120, Rochester, New York (June 2012) Olena Dilai, President 10 new members This Branch operates a preschool svitlychka . Note that the new president is related (as well as my husband Ostap) to the late Olena Ochromovych Sa - lisnjak, Honorary Member of UNWLA (1959) and past President of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Or- ganizations (1956 - 1969). Branch 17, Miami, Flor- ida (March 2013) Ulana Romaniw, Presid ent 1 7 new members Those attending the reor- ganization meeting repre- sented an interesting blend of 3 rd and 4 th wave immigrants and second generation Ukrainian - American women who were all enthused and willing to work toward the preservation of the historic branch. Branch 130, Parma, Ohio (June 2013) Liliya Luzhanska, President. 33 new members The new Branch board and members had a vested interest to maintain the Branch and its pr eschool svitlychka for their children and grandchildren. The preschool is currently filled to capacity and has a waiting list! In addition to the above, nine o ther Branches notably increased membership during 2011 - 2014 period: Branch 8 (Parma, Ohio) 1 2 new members Branch 50 (Ann Arbor, Michigan) 8 new members Branch 56 (North Port, Florida) 14 new members Branch 75 (New Jersey) 1 5 new members
