76 ХХ Х Конвенція СУА In October of 2012, the WFUWO held its X Congress (held every 5 years) in Toronto, Canada. The UNWLA thanks former President Maria Szkambara, UNWLA Honorary Member, for her partnership in a multitude of projects. We wish her good health and success in her chosen future endeavors. We con- gratulate newly elected President, Orysia Sushko, a prominent and honored figure in women’s affairs, and wish to underscore our readiness to cooperate with her in future projects. It was at this Congress that the UNWLA expressed its desire to further support the WFUWO Literary Fund in the name of Mary Beck and did so by contributing $2,500 to it. I am very proud to announce that during this Congress, I was named WFUWO Honorary Member and I thank the WFUWO Honorary Presid ent, Maria Szkambara, for this great honor ! At the 2013 combined WFUWO annual meeting and WCU Congress, the 80th anniversary of the Holodomor was commemorated. UNWLA delegates participated in all cere monies. It was at this Congress that WCU President Evhe n Czolij was re - elected , and we wish him much strength and per- severance as it was only a few months after his re - election that the turmoil in Ukraine began. March from the L’viv Politechnic to the Shevchenko Monument in commemoration of the 80th ann iversary of Holodomor, 1932 - 33 . Combined Federal Campaign Thanks to Oksana Xenos, UNWLA Parliamentarian, annual applications are submitted to CFC. We thank Judge Xenos for her efforts in coordinating this application , which has p roduced significant amounts for the UNWL A. Yet we ha ve run comparative financials for 2011 - 2013 and noticed that there is a downward trend of C FC donations: 2011 > $20,865.78; 2012 > $16,310.78 (down 22 %); 2013 > $ 12,720.98 (down 28 %). According to O Xenos, this trend is being felt by all non - governmental organi- zations; as a matter of fact, the UNWLA is doing better than the average. National Council of Women I have attended annual b oard meetings of the NCW and Lidia Bilous, V ice P resident for Public Relations , has been authoring and submitting annual reports. This year NCW will be celebrating its 125 th anniversary. Thank You! I ha ve reported on the projects and/or events in which I have been directly involved ; however, NONE of these would have been accomplished without members of our Executive Committee, which is comprised of the following individuals : Ulana Zinych, 1 st Vice President : Ms . Zinych has once again agreed to take on the monumental project of managing the Convention Commemorative Book, for which I thank her sincerely. She has also been tracking and acknowledging all CFC donations to the UNWLA. Ms . Zinych has been involved in almost all the projects describe d above, side by side with me — by listening and advi sing, all with a sense of hu- mo r ! Anna Macielinski, 2 nd Vice President for Membership : Ms . Macielinski has been the author of the UNWLA procedures manual which covers aspects of managing a branch, both financially and organiza- tion ally. She was also the driving force behind the positio n description proje ct. These two projects com- bined will allow a new branch or even a new president o f a branch to have one “bible” to consult. In addi- tion, Ms . Macielinski has traveled to welcome new branches, to provide incentive to troubled branches,
