68 ХХ Х Конвенція СУА the continuous publication of its magazine for over seven decades. The publication reflects the UNW LA’s Regional Council and Branch activities and projects, as well as covers historical and current issues affect- ing women . The success and longevity of Our Life can be attributed to its committed and focused editors as well as to its monthly contributors, both members and non - members of the UNWLA. Every editor brought her own talents and vision to the magazine, enriching its pages with her original ideas. I would like to especially thank the editors with whom i t has been my pleasure to work — Tamara Stadnyche nko, Irena Chaban, current Editor - in - Chief Lidia Slysh , and current English - language editor Olesia Wallo. Their monthly painstaking attention to theme and detail has kept the magazine going strong. I would also like to thank the cover artists whose creativ ity has added originality, personality, and variety to the face of the magazine . As mentioned above, all issues of Our Life are now accessible online on the UNWLA web- site. The wealth of information about our organization is now readily available to researchers and aca- demics, as well as to our readership. The financing of Our Life has been a frequently voiced concern over the decades, and many an article in the magazine itself has ad dressed this prob lem; and yet, Our Life is still very much alive and in print! As subscriptions fluctuate, as the prices of printing and mailing steadily rise, we have chosen not to raise the price of a subscription in order to make it more accessible. However, let us make it our goal to ensure the magazine’s future through contributions to the UNWLA Press Fund, which has traditionally filled the gaps — and there have been gaps. I’d like to thank the supporters of the UNWLA Press Fund who ha ve understood the important functio n of the Fund. We are very proud of these major UNWLA accomplishments since our last Convention. Each has a marked and lasting impact — in Ukraine and within the United States diaspora — and has brought our membership together for a true common goal. Mee tings of the Executive Committee and the National Board Besides the meetings listed below, the UNWLA Executive Committee communicated regularly via e - mail. All members of the Executive Committee, as important issues arose, notified their fellow members or asked for their opinions or a formal vote, if needed. As the Maidan and post - Maidan situation in Ukraine evolved together with our organizational involvement, I and our Social Welfare Chairperson, Iryna Rudyk, attempted to keep our Executive Committee in t he loop. The members of the Executive Committee who do not live in the tri - state area or who could not be physically present participated in the Executive Committee meetings via teleconference. UNWLA Executive Committee Meetings 2011 – 3 Executive Committee meetings (two at the UNWLA Headquarters in New York City, 1 via con- ference call) 2012 – 8 Executive Committee meet- ings (5 at headquarters and 3 via conference call) 20 13 – 7 Executive Committee meet- ings (5 at headquarters and 2 via conference call) 2014 – 2 Executive Board meetings (both at headquarters) From left: Maria Cade (95) , Oxana Dats (131) , Nusha Macielinski (96) , Ulana Zinych (108) , Kateryna Tanchyn (73) , Oxana Farion (90) , Natalka Duma (83) .
