These two UNWLA branches work closely together and support each other during many events. The Epiphany of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church holds an annual Autumn Fest. This year, as in the past, we had a booth where Ukrainian art was sold. Branch 124 began collecting art when a very generous donation of Ukrainian art was made by Mr. and Mrs. Bundziak following the passing of their mother, Mrs. Zenovia Bundziak. The Bun- dziak f amily knew the importance of preserving Ukrainian art and want- ed us to sell the art pieces to someone who would continue cherishing them. Bohdanna Kulba and Irene Popovich took on the responsibility of organizing, displaying, and caring for Ukrainian artif acts that were to be sold during the Autumn Fest and other upcoming events. Marta Kozlov, Lyudmyla Mosijczuk, Claudia Korsun, Karyn Klos, Sonia Rudolph, and Volodymyra Kuziw also volunteered. Since the initial donation by the Bundziak family, many individu als have contributed art pieces to our branch. We thank those who have made these generous donations. Our branch will continue to preserve Ukrainian art for years to come. The annual St. Petersburg International Folk Fair (SPIFF) is a popular three - day event to educate others about the many cultures that are represented in the St. Petersburg area. The Ukrainian community has been represented since the inception of this event. Ukrainian dancers always perform, while the Ukrainian booth is always well - atte nded due to its delicious traditional foods. In the booth, you can also find educational displays, brochures, and information about the Ukrainian traditions, history, and art. Pysanky demonstrations are very popular. This Folk Fair is very important becaus e it educates the public about Ukraine and its people. Many of the UNWLA members are also members of the SPIFF. We spend days pre paring the displays, cooking, and manning this infor mative and educational stand. Ukrainian Christmas caroling is a part o f our hol- iday tradition. For years, our branch members have Christmas carolers l - r: Orysia Petrina - Johnson, Olya N. Czerkas, Yana Pavliychyn, Iren e Popovich, and Marta Popovich. Additional carolers not pictured: Bohdanna Kulba, Marta K ozlov, Marian Serna, and Eva Reinhardt.
