ХХ Х Конвенція СУА 257 who has cancer (delivered by Olga Dub); $300 to an epilepti c girl in Ternopil (money delivered by Evgenia Balaban); and $500 to Branch 118 member, Svitlana Krutikov, who is undergoing financial hard times. Later we elected the new Branch officers for 2012, and the ladies exchanged white elephant gifts. A good time was had by all! Highlights for 2012 Women of Branch 118 embroidered pysanky and created an Easter Quilt at our annual fundraiser in 2012. As previously mentioned, our general meeting and elections were held in December of 2011. The Branch Executive Board elected for 2012 in- cluded President Martha Noukas, Vice President Olga Dub, Secretary Pam Uschak, and Treasurer Halyna Seniw. On March 8, 2012, some of the members of Branch 118 gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day. The social gathering ag ain took place at the ZaZa Hotel, with eight women in attendance. The hotel manager provided a complimen- tary bottle of champagne, and each of the ladies present received a rose and chocolates. UNWLA Branch 118 participated in the Spring Celebration at the George Bush Presidential Li- brary and Museum in College Station, Texas, by exhibiting Ukrainian Easter Eggs in the museum lobby display case. Contributors to the display were Martha Noukas, Justyna Uschak, Pam Uschak, and Dottie Williams. On March 31, 2012, Martha Noukas and Dottie Williams taught the Ukrainian Egg Decorating Workshop at the Bush Presidential Library and Museum. The class was well attended. The 2012 Ukrainian Easter Bazaar was once again a joint fundraising effort with Pokrova Ukrain- ian Cath olic Church. The church earned income from food and pastry sales, but Branch 118 was respon- sible for all the other aspects of the bazaar. Our preparations for the bazaar began in February when Branch 118 members completed their individual embroidered pysan ky pieces, which member Mary Bejmuk sowed into a beautiful Easter quilt to be auctioned at the bazaar. Martha Noukas submitted the promotional advertisements, solicited craft vendors, arranged for the security guards, arranged for the Moonwalk, purchased b ar supplies, and oversaw UNWLA Booth sales. Sarah Uschak collected entrance fees. Nicole Dijak sold drink tickets. Mary Bejmuk and Tetyana Lytvyn chuk oversaw the Silent Auction, Quilt Raffle, and Raffle Baskets. Ruby Koltko and her family oversaw the pysanky work- shop in the hall library, and the Zhuravli Ukrainian Dancers Display of pysanky a t the George Bush Presidential Library in Col- lege Station. Spring 2012. L - r : Pamela Uschak, Dottie Williams, Justyna Uschak, Martha No ukas.
