142 ХХ Х Конвенція СУА OLYA DROZDOWYCZ ARCHIVIST It has been most rewarding to serv e as the UNWLA archivist for the past three years. I consider archived materials to be not only our history but our guidance to the future. A large portion of our archived material is located at the Immigration History Research Center at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. Anyone who wishes to do personal research can contact the center. In the past three years I have traveled to New York City on several occasions to work on our archived materials that are located at the UNWLA Headquarters. In A ugust of 2011 I traveled to Ukraine, representing the UNWLA with President Marianna Zajac, Vice President Ulana Zinych, and Vice President Lidia Bilous. We visited the Pediatric Burn Unit at L’viv Hospital No. 8 and the Ukrainian Catholic University, and at tended the Annual Meeting of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women's Organization and the World Congress of Ukrainians in Kyiv. We also participated in the 90th anniversary celebration of Soyuz Ukrainok in L’viv. During the past three years I was also in charge of receiving orders and mailing out our book, A Candle in Remembrance , to various educational institutions and prominent individuals. I have attended all of the National Board meetings in New York City and s everal regional meetings. In the future I look forward to refining our filing system and to improving the preservation of the UNWLA’s priceless documents.
